The base trim of the A300 Axia, and the one most first-time buyers look at. It runs the same 1.0 litre three-cylinder and the same D-CVT as the rest of the range, so the money goes on kit rather than on the drivetrain.

There is no manual and no four-speed automatic here. The A300 launched in February 2023 as a D-CVT-only car, and the old five-speed manual and four-speed auto did not carry over. If a listing offers a “new Axia manual”, it is either the previous generation or the driving-school Axia E.

Two things to know before you sign. The G misses the ASA safety pack on the early cars, and the rear seats are a bench without a split. Neither is a fault, but both are the reason a used G is cheaper than an X.
