The magnetic clutch is the part that fails first, and a slipping clutch can be fixed with a clutch kit rather than a whole compressor. Ask the workshop which of the two they are quoting. If the compressor itself is being replaced, the receiver drier should be replaced too, and the system regassed by weight.

New units sit around RM550 to RM750, genuine units higher, and a full job with drier, labour and gas lands between RM700 and RM1,000.
