Proton’s number for the 1.3 VVT plug is PW812674, and Malaysian sellers list it for the Saga VVT, the Persona VVT and the Iriz. A later number, PW913705, shows up on the same applications, so ask which one the counter has rather than treating one as wrong.

The plug in the box is an NGK LKAR7C-9. The 9 at the end is NGK’s gap code for 0.9 mm. Buy four; the engine is a four cylinder.

Replace at 40,000 km or sooner if the idle starts to flutter. Plugs are cheap and a misfire is not: a car that hunts at idle and hesitates under load is often fixed by a set of plugs and nothing else.
