Alternator Myvi

Alternator for the D20N Myvi, ND (Nippon Denso) design from the factory. The number depends on the engine, so buy by engine and not by model year: 27060-BZ380 for the 1.5, and 27060-BZ440 for the 1.3, which shares that unit with the Bezza 1.3. Fitting the wrong one is a mounting and pulley mismatch, not a wiring job.

Tell-tale failure signs: battery warning light at idle that clears with revs, dim lights at traffic lights, and gradual undercharging confirmed by a multimeter below 14V at fast idle. Marketplace listings show new aftermarket units (for example the Gaido line) with a 1-year warranty, and reconditioned ND units cost less.

Fit a new drive belt with the alternator, since re-tensioning wears the old one. Budget RM250 to RM450 depending on genuine, reconditioned or new aftermarket.
