Proton Gen-2
hatchback2004-2012
The Proton Gen-2 is the five-door hatchback that introduced Proton's own platform and its own CamPro engine in 2004. It was sold in Malaysia until 2012, with a 2008 facelift that swapped the original S4PH engine for the IAFM and CPS versions. Lotus had a hand in the chassis, so it drives better than its reputation suggests, and the cheap parts and simple layout make it a common first car. This page covers the 1.6 S4PH cars only.

Proton Iriz
hatchback2014-2025
The Proton Iriz is a B-segment hatchback that debuted in September 2014 on the P2 platform and stayed in production until September 2025. Proton sold it with 1.3 and 1.6 litre CamPro VVT engines, a Punch CVT across the range and a five-speed manual on the 1.3 Standard only, until the 2022 model year dropped the manual. A fun, safe and cheap city car that Malaysian owners either love for the chassis or avoid for the gearbox.
