Pandupedia is a static website. Every page is published as a plain file, so visitors are served the same content with no server-side user accounts, profiles, or databases attached.
What is measured
One measurement script runs on every page. It comes from Cloudflare Web Analytics. The script sends one request when a page loads, and a second one when you leave the page or switch to another tab, so the final numbers for that page view get recorded.
The request carries the page address, the page that referred you, how long the page took to load, and the country the request came from. It also says which browser and operating system you used, whether the device is a phone, tablet or computer, how you reached the page (a link, a reload, the back button), and, where the browser reports it, how much JavaScript memory the page was using. Cloudflare works the country out from the network address and states that it discards that address at the nearest data center. The requests become counts per page. We see totals: views per page, referrers, load times, and the same breakdowns. We do not see a list of visitors, and nothing in the report points to one person.
The totals answer one question: which pages get used. That decides what gets rewritten, expanded, or dropped.
What is not measured
- No cookies. This site keeps two values in your browser, both in localStorage, which is not a cookie: your light or dark theme, and a flag saying you dismissed the notice that a page was not translated for your language.
- No identifier for you. The script makes a
pageloadIdfor each page view, in the browser. It is what ties the report sent on load to the one sent when you leave, for the same view. Cloudflare states the script stores nothing in your browser and reads nothing from it, so that ID does not follow you to the next page or the next visit. - No device fingerprinting. The script does not read your screen, fonts, plugins or canvas to build a profile. Cloudflare states that it does not fingerprint visitors by IP address, user agent, or any other data for analytics.
- No cross-site tracking. The beacon reports on pages of this site only. Cloudflare states that it does not track individual end users across the sites it serves.
- No advertising or tracking pixels. No retargeting, no audience segments, no ad profiles.
- No selling or sharing. We do not sell or share this data, or hand it to a data broker. Two parties see it: the person who runs this site, and Cloudflare as the processor.
Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data.
Who processes it
Cloudflare, Inc. runs the service and receives the beacon request as our processor. It collects the data and returns the aggregate report. Its handling is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy and the data processing terms on our account. We do not collect personal data from visitors; what reaches us is a count.
Consent and opting out
This site sets no cookies and builds no profile, so it asks for no consent and shows no banner. That is our position for this site, not legal advice about other sites.
If you would rather not be counted, block it at your end. An ad blocker, a DNS filter, or your browser’s script settings can stop Cloudflare’s analytics script from loading. The pages work the same without the script, and we cannot tell that you blocked it.
What is stored on your device
Pandupedia does not set cookies. Two values sit in your browser’s localStorage: your light or dark theme choice, and a flag recording that you dismissed the untranslated-page notice for a given language. Neither ever leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes both.
Search
Search runs entirely in your browser. The search index is downloaded as a static file and queried locally, so your search terms are never sent to a server.
Affiliate links
No link on this site is an affiliate link as of this update. If affiliate links are added later, they will point at stores such as Shopee Malaysia and Lazada Malaysia, and Pandupedia may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through them. Clicking such a link takes you to the store’s own site, which operates under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. Pandupedia does not set or read any cookie in that handoff. See the affiliate disclosure for details.
Contact
If you find a mistake, email corrections@pandupedia.com with the page URL so it can be checked against a source and corrected. The same address answers privacy questions. It is the only contact channel, it is read by the person who runs the site, and an address you send is used only to answer you.
